The N. C. Daily Mail says the Peking market is flooded with Government Treasury bills of very small denominations, with which the troops are now paid. has recently returned from a long sojourn in the East, writes to the Daily Express to claim a record for a certain course of the Sepoy Lines Golf Club in Singapore. HesaysThe curse has four holes. It appears that the recipient' is concerned in some litigation at the Chinese City Court, and the "bombs were accompanied by an anonymous letter advising that withdrawal from the case. would be the better part of legal satisfaction.

He tells me that many of the officers have become criminelo- gists as a result of their experi- ence. For the Chinese coolies were adept thieves. and in certain cases brutal murderers of each other. One officer had to spend most of his time going from Calais to Havre and back in- vestigating cases for courts marti al. The experiment of bringing East and West together has had many dangers.-

It was at 6rst announced that Dr. Sun would be unable to address the meeting "owing to the danger arising from the hall being over- crowded," but this announcement caused "great commotion which threatened to develop into hostile, criticism, and Dr. Sun was even!
