have been constructed many of THE EASTERN & AUSTRALIAN

the vessels used in Mesopotamia. With a good supply of materials, shipyard facilities and a plentiful supply of labour the prospects are good for building on an extensive scale. Within recent months ocean-going vessels have been constructed at Rangoon while the war has largely stimulated the building which has for years been carried on on the West Coast. The building of large vessels at various points in India seems to be on the eve of of important developments and au aid to this will be the new port facilities which are proposed for the West Coast of the Peninsula.
