Lorraine by France is glorious; Italy has succeeded in regaining her former taritory; the creation of a number of new independent states is heroic. But all this is trifling when compared with the exploits of Great Britain.

Principally by the force applied by Great Britain, destructive revolutions have been carried: out in the two great empires of: Russia and Germany. As the result of their downfall, Great Britain has established her posi tion strongly in Africa and Asia; the present indications are that all the coloured races in the world, at least in Africa and Asia, may ultimately be placed under the control of Great Britain..

"We regretted the action taken by Afghanistan in invading India as a voluntary fall in the trap laid by a hunter, Our appre bension was justified by the terms of the peace concluded between Great Britain and Af- ghanistan, which compelled the conclusion that the latter coun- try had fallen. A similar fate: has now befallen Persia.

Of the measures being taken by Great Britain for the exploits- tion of the world, special attention should be paid to the following (1) Great Britain is contesting the claim to the mandatory rule of Turkey, and the Turks have start ed an active movement in favour

of British rule in an imaginary autonomy with Constantinople as

centre. Great Britain hab her forces from withdrawn Armenia which is, to be placed under the control of America, and is trying to give protection to the ато opposed to Kurda who
