„THE HUNGARIAN UUVERNMENT.
Paris, August 20. After bearing Mr. Hoover, the Supreme Council sent z telegram to the Alles Mission 'at Budapest with a request that it be communicated to the Hungarian authorities. The telegiam says that the Allies cannot condude a lasting peace with the Hungarian people as long as the present Govern- ment remains in power. "This Government was not estab fished by the will of the people, but by a coup d'etat car. ried out by a small group of police under the protection of a foreign army. The head of the Government is a member of the Hapsburg family, which, through its policy and am-- bitions, is largely responsible for the calamities from which the world is suffering and will suffer for a long time. A Peace, negotiated by this Government cannot be durable. The Archduke says he is ready to submit his position to the popular vote. That will not satisfy us, as the elections can be carried out under the auspices of his administration.
