LIBERAL REDUCTIONS.

It was anticipated by a large number of people that shortly after the cessation of hostilities prices would drop. Such has not been the case. Owing to the great demand, shortage of materials, insufficient transport, strikes, and other labour troubles, shortage and high price of coal, the cost of manufacture has steadily risen and we find to-day that we are selling a lot of lines in our store and far less than we can replace them for in the home markets. As we have ordered largely for the coming season we are determined to clear a large portion of our stock to make room for these goods coming forward.
