A Manila paper of July 18 says:-The long suspended trans- pacific service of the Java Pacific Lju, for which Meerkamp and Company are the agents will soon be resumed, according to the an- nouncement made by K. V.D. Boogaard, acting shipping agent in place of G. P. Dateman, who is now on leave of absence in Holland. Mr. Boogaard says that the Tjisondari and the Tjikembang two Dutch ships,

have been released recently from active service by the Federal Government and will be turned over to them as soon possible. He also stated that these steamers will come to Manila from Hongkong via Cebu with oil cargo for Robert Dollar Company who acts as representative of the United States Shipping Board.
