motor schooners. The owners of the Dutch naw three- masted schooner Alberta are having 20 similar boats built, but of over 200 tons more carrying capacity, especially for the North England. There are over 500 Sen traffic between Holland and

THE "CUTIT SARK."-- The old-time clipper Cutty
returned to the Thames from the West Coast of Africa. Nearly 60 years have passed since she was launched at Dombarton. In other days she was one of the best known of a famous fleet of Telephone No 36. China clippers, engaged in the tea trade. Her first voyage was from London to Shanghai. She reached the equator in IT days, | and Shanghai in 974 days. The return trip was also accomplished in splendid time. She could, and did, then do her 15 knots, passing steamers hand over hand.
