As a result of the work of the Tes Controller, according to the report, the consumption of am- monia in artificial ice plants was Sreduced 354,709 pounds in 1918, the total amount used being only 286,345 pounds. The Legislature of 1918 appropriated $25,000 for the use of the Ice Controller. Of this amount $9,040 was spent. Immediately after receipt of the report the Senate passed the Bill to abolish the office of Ice Controller.
