The R.LMS: Dara which left har bour yesterday had to return to port at ten o'clock last night owing to an outbreak of fire in one of its bunkers, the magnitude of which showed that the vessel's appliances were inade quate to cope with it. The Harbour Police noticed the flames and at one put to sea. The burning vessel is anchored op posite the Taj Mahal Hotel, 'about three quarters of a mile from the Appollo Bunder. The Port Trust fire appliances were also harried off to the burning vessel and a Port Trust dredger, stood by and rendered assistance.
