The New Chinese Church of which the foundation stone was laid by the Bishop" of Victoria, has a fine site with a long frontage to the demolished city wall. about to be made into an 80 ft. road. The site was provided by the Pan Anglican Thankoffering of 1908, and the new Church is to cost about $30,000. Of this sum some $10,000 has been given by friends in England and $10,000 by Chinese Christians. This leaves $10,000 still to be raised, and it is hoped it may be contributed before Christmas. We are asked to say that Archdeacon Barnett, c/o St. Paul's College. Hongkong, is the Treasurer.
