Hence the Italian Government solemnly declared that it was ani- mated by a spirit of conciliation.
There were similar scenes of enthusiasm in the Senate, where 'Signor Orlando repeated the Chamber speech.
Signor Titoni followed, saying that he hoped this imposing demonstration of national solidarity would make Italy's cause understood.
