It will be noticed from the above list that except paire zinc, the stocks of all other metals showed a decrease, which naturally re- sulted in hardening the market. In Japan the-present quotations are Y51 for copper, Y23 for zinc and Y17 for lead. It is said that the Japanese market will show a further activity, as there is such an encouraging report (for sellers) from Britain, at a time when stocks in Japan are running short.
