NEW CASON OF WESTMINSTER. Rev. Vally de Candole, M.A., vicar of Clifton, Bristol, has been appointed to the canonry in St. Peter's, Westminster, with the rectory of the parish church of St. John, Westminster.

DEATH OF SIE ALFRED TIRSER.

The death of Major-General Alfred Turner took place recently at the age of 76.
