The contest committee of the' Azzo Club of Americs has awarded the altitude record of 28,900ft above sea level to Cap- tain Roddy W. Eobreeder. The fight was made on September. 18th, at the Wilbur Wright Field, Fairfield, Ohio, in 8. Bristol fighting plane, with a 300 hores. power Hispansenis motor. The record made by Sabroader bas been recognized by the United States Government.

Cambridge U-Boat Commander.
A junior wireless operator mamed George Shearman, of Waltham Abbey, states' that his bost, bound for the Argentine, Was torpedoed by an enemy submarine, says a Home paper.
