At a meeting of Belfast Harbour Commissioners yesterday it was reported that 126 sores of land for shipyard developments had been let to Farland and Wolf and £5 acres to Workman, Clark, and Co.

Lord Pirrie, Controller General of Merchant Shipbuilding, in bis tour of inspection of the shi building areas of the north-east coast has visited the yard where all the processes are conducted by electricity. This is the Egia Yard, which is now nearly completed, although work on it was begun only sa recently as last November. It e vers a site of neary 16 acres on the banks of a north east coast river, and has four berths, on each of which a ship 43 ft. in length by 56ft heat, and of about 10.000 tons deadweight can be built. There is a platers" shed, 532ft. long by 100ft.' in breadth, which contains allthe most up to date electrically driven machinery for working the steel material. The yard
