Mre Gold, of 5, Albert-road, Romford, found her two-year-old. daughter lying dead on a bed in au upper room recently and called the police, who found that the little girl had been strangled, evidently with a piece of string. Later in the day Mrs. Lizzie Wright, of Waterloo-road, Rom ford, the child's grandmother, was arrested on suspicion of having murdered the girl, and w medically examined, and sent to the mental ward of the workbouse Finfirmary, to be kept under observation.
