Alfred Blomfeld, J. P., of Gefield, who was flued £25 for feeding his pigs on barley, was presented with a cheque for 55 guineas at Obelmsford to cover his actual expenses. Funeral of Sergeant Dick Burge.

The funeral of Sargeant Ricbard Barge ("Dick" Barge) took place recently when about 2,000 people assembled outside St. Marylebone Oburch, where the first part of the Berrion was conducted by the Bev. Dr. Morrison, Reator of St. Marylebone. The remains werB afterwards taken to Gelder's Green for cremation.
