The first of the two monitors sssignea for service on the Yangtse, H. M. S, Bee arrive i here on April 20, and her siste ship. Scarab, on the 23rd. The vessels are of the type of the Woodlark, but much larger, 'and have a square stem, with triple rudders. They draw about fuz feet and have two feet of freeboard amidships and about five forward ard are armed with a six inch howitzer on the forward and after deck and an eighteen pounder at esch end of the bridge deck. They are fitted with two heavy funnels abreast and one must amidship.
