Ltd, of Liverpool, claimed £3,305 dam- ages from the Port of London Authority in respect of injuries sustained by plaintiffs: steamship Polyphemus, while entering the East India Dock on Nov. 16, 1916.
The defendants denied negligence. After hearing evidence, and the judge bad summed up, the jury, after taking an hour to decide, found that there was negligence on both sides. Thereupon Mr Rigby' Swift, for the plaintiffs submitted there should be another; trial, His Lordship said he could tel how the jury was divided. Mr.. Rigby Swift said that he had a shrewd suspicion himself. HÀ Lordships. I know and you know; so, like the Augurs, we will be content with what we both know. Mr. Inskip-I do not know.
