The "strikere, whose gee... ranged from fourteen to sixteen, took a day off from study. Dor- ing the morning they made a raid on moving pictaro posters, and.. several of them, were strested by the police. Arthur M. Wolfson, principal of the school, advised the polios to "spank" the boys b. and send them home.

A Demand for Shortër Hours.

About 150 bors, students of High School of Commeres, 85th Birder, between Broadway and "Amsterdam Avenue, New York, refused to attend the sessions in the school recently and went on "strike" because they believed the hours of study too long. The. regular daily session is from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

The boys began their "* teat" by marching down Amster- dam Avenue to 59th Street, and then to the Ds Witt Clinton High School, on 10th Avenue, where they gained a few recruits. Then they paraded to the Commercial High School Anner, at 44th Street, near Eighth Avenue.

Progress Made by Navies of All Allied Powers.

Washington, November 14.- The Secretary of the Navy, Mr. Daniele, to-day indicated that, while the Davies of all the Allied [b.
