Bandage Rolling, at Tokyo,

Bandage rolling sa a part of the war relief work of the Ame- rican community in Tokyo has osaand to be an activity rolely for women. On the morning of De cember 1 the headquarters of the American War Belief' in Tokyo wsa opened for the first time and at the suggestion of Prof. J. T. Swift sboat thirty men joined in the work, rolling bandages by hand and by machine, in fact doing all the work connected with this most important phase of war relief work. This is to be a regular fastore in future.. Swatow in a Bad Plight.

A telegram from_Kwangtung says the Peking Daily News, atates that "singoing and Fengshan were both captured by the Southern troops after a slight resistance. Innumerable Kwangui froops bare now arrived in the vicinity of Chacohow, and an attack will commence soon." As General Feng Ya-hsiung and his Brigade have been detained by the Tashan of Kiangan at Panfou the situation of troops of General...... Chas Chib-ping at Chaochow baa become desperate. The Foyang Railway station is now in the hands of the Southern troops, and the traffic of Chao- show and Swatow Railway has been suspended for four days already, and the Government troops at Chaochow can only communicate with Swatow by water.",

It was stated that Dillon was at the Cafe Royal, Regent-street, od Tuesday night, and because Prete had remonstrated with him" for persisting in occupying a seat at a table, which be (Prete) had left temporsily, Dillon lified up a small soda-water bottle and strnok him on the head with it knocking him down. Prete, who had to be treated in hospital, appeared in Ceart with a bandaged bead, Mr. Head committed the prisoner for trial, allowing bail in the enm of £30.
