A Notable Anniversary. This year being the twentieth anniversary of "the_sdoption of a gold standard by Japan, memorative meeting was held at the Tokyo Backers Club on November 1st at 3 p.m., followed by a dinner at 6.30 p.m. It is reported that Marquis Mat- "sukats," Viscount Tajiri, Baron Sakays, Dr. Yamasaki, and Dr. Sayeds, were to deliver addresses on the cccasion.
