A PATRIOTIC CALL.
THE HONGKONG STEEL
STEEL FOUNDRY
FOUNDRY COMPANY, LIMITED.
PROSPECTUS
Inviting public subscription for 85,000 shares at par ($10 each), upon an increase of the Capital of the Company.
Tin desired and a resolution for that purpose has been passed,
to increase the Capital of the, Compady to $1,000,000 by the issue of now shares; for the purpose of extending the business which is firmly believed will, if no extended, not only prove exceedingly profitable to all interested in the Company, but will also supply a want to locul concerns.
The Capital of the Company is now $1,000,000 of which unly $78,080 has been paid up and, on this, the Company last year made a net- profit of $19,817 and paid a dividend of 10 per cent at the end of the present finanelal year. It is anticipated that doubling the Capital Will at least treble the profit; and, should this anticipation be realized. the Company could pay at least a steady Twenty per cent.
Steel Castings are needed for nunterous purposes by all Bailway contractors, Engineering and Dock Companies, everywhere in Chinn and by many small manufacturers. At present a large portion of the Steel products which this Company' is able to manufacture abtained of the vers from abroad-at probably a great expense-in cassequence limited capacity of this Company to carry out orders received. With Ah increased Capital, enabling more formates to be erected, and more labour employed, this Company would then be in a position to supply most of, if net all, the needa for steel venating in this part of the world; for, with the exprem necnew optrel by the General Managers, difficuity and by their present bead work myn, there should be no whatsoever in uest satisfactorily futaiumrlapen regereements.
It is much desierithat sukuent oofdtonülegjetal by sulwerbed, beyond that which is rypared for the further development of the Stord Casting department, ši order is enalina plánt to be obtained, and set up, for she purpose of rolling Steed. Ingtons into material for Engineer- ing, Deck, and Building requirements: tar which material there is now a great demand.
F
It is therefore trusted that mony persons in the Colony will lɔn " found ready ts subscribe towards the interesand capital desired, both for their own benefit, and for that of this omnitvy gearrally.
The General Managers are ready and willing to enter into ang reasonable areement desired by the Company da continue their Mervices for a lengthy period. Also, if desired by the Company, they are fully prepared to transder the control to a Board of Directors. comprised of such persons who are in a pituin to introduce businera, as the Company thinks advisable,
The in musa salseription for the new shares now offered to the public, upon which the Gigerel Managers may proceed to allotment, is $2KHAL
