Beer for Workmen.

To enrare provision of beer for their workmen, particularly farascomsen, Mosats. Steel, Fecch and Tozer, of Rotherham, bave taken over a fully-licensed public house adjoining their work. The place will be ran se a canteen, and will revert to the original owners after the war,

"Home for Blind Babies. Adeline Dachers of Bedford' and Sir Arthur Pearson, of the National Institute for the Blind, i 224, Great Portland-street, Lou- don, bare initiated a new project for blind babies The school education of blind children begins at the age of fire, la a day or residential school; but from birth until this age it is usually difficult in a poor household for anyone to find time in which to care for them, and the National Institute for the Blind was therefore nudez- taken to support and manage the home for them. A suitable houss, with large grounds has been par obaead at Chorley Wood, and here some 25 blind babies will be brought up until they rasch school "age.
