pleasure in congratulating all con. cerned in ita prodeation on the resulta sobieved. Like its pre. decessors, the current number is extremely interesting and enter tairing and, in fact, just what such a publication cught to be. Among the contente is an instruct- ire and well-written article by "W. G. G." entitled "Crime and Criminals," being Notes op Chinese types.” "The War Away from the War," by T. C is so good that we should bave been been pleased had it been longer.. The article entitled "The Barber's Chair" is a clever imitation of Cockney gargon As nenal "Aunt Dorthy's Writh- ing's" are well worth reading, containing as they do many slv topical allusions, “E V.B.," our local Poet Laureate is himself the subject of little well-constructed set of verses in this issue. The result of last month's competition, in which Boogkong is, more or less accurately described, is given the prize being awarded

"Inkam". for his amasing to and cynical seconut of ouT splendid little island-home. P.C. Hooper's Ode to Hongkong ía also given, and makes 'VAKY good reading. Another competi- tion that should appeal to many, ia sanounced--particulara regard- ing which will be found in the Gazette, which is now on usle at the anal places. The articles above mentioned do not exhaust the good things of the issue, which we again heartily com *mend.
