SAYI: Naturally the war has brought the company heavy losses, and nobody can foreses what will happen to the company's ships. which have been taken by the enemy as prize vessels and pat int service. But the North Ger- msa Lloyd Company has not been inactive, and since the war broke out ten steamers, aggrega- | ting 70,000 tons, have been built and handed over to the company, while eight others, of an segregate tonnage of 136.0 w, including the liners Columbus and Hindenburg, each of 35,000 tons, are in course of construction.
