Trouble at a Japaneso Hemp Factory."

On the afternoon of March 28 upwards of 400 workmen of the "Teikoku Seima Kaisha, at Omu, ausculted six of their foremen, badly ir juring two of them. Ten of the workmen were arrested and are under examination. In explanation of this outrage it is raid that the workmen ast- ed the foremen to approach the manager with a. view to obtaining an increase of their wages. The company inoressed the wages of the foremen bat made no alteration in the wigen -of the workmes. The men thea concluded that the foremen had merely used them "as stalling bokies and resolved to punish them for it. The Police are keep- ing a close watch upon the work- men as there are signs of further **oable.
