Planter's Death.

The Malay Mai regrets to re- port the death, which occured at the Kuala Lumpur European Hospital recently, of Mr. Dɔuglis G. Tumsden, manager of Bukit Hitam Estate, Pachons. Mr. Lamsden was admitted into the Hospital on the previous after- acon enfering from an soate attack of malaria, to which he succumbed, Mr. Lumedón A planter in Ceylon High Tension, for nine years prior to coming to the F.M.S. five or six years ago. He first came to Pataling Estate and then went on to Seifold, which he left later to go to Balit Hitam Estate. Mr. Lumsden has a long record of military service bebind him While at Home he held a captaincy in the Militis, then served with the Cylon Volunteers and

was in the M. S. V. R. at the time of his death.
