London, February 21. In the House of Lorde, Lord Crewe said he was surprised that
the possibility of German intrigus in Persis had not received ufficient attention from the side of India. He paid a warm tribute to the Amirs' loyalty and feared it would be necessary to send
considerable reinforcements to Persia in order to drive out the Turks. The march of Sir Peroy Sykes was most remarkable, and well worthy of the traditions of the Indian Army.
SENSATIONAL ARREST IN NEW YORK.
London, February 21. According to Reuter's correspondent et New York, a sensation bas been caused by the arrest of two men on a charge of conspiring to obtain maps, photograph», and other information of a military oharacter concerning Great Britain, which was sent to the United States and then to Germany. It is understood that fifteen men are involved, who went to Britain masquerading as journalists in order to collect information.
