Anglo-Portuguese Treaty.

The Boo. Attorney General moved the first reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to make each provisions as are necessary to enable the Anglo-Portugue58 Commercial Treaty to come into force sa regards the Colony of Hongkong.

It is proposed that this Colony shall signify its adherence to the recent Anglo-Poringusse Com- mercia! Tresty, and årticle 6 of that trasty requires adherents to restrict the use of the terme port and madeira to wine which is the produce of Portugal and Madeira respectively. This Bill, which is founded on the English Act, provides for the necessary legiala- tion. The Act and treaty were published in the Goats of the 20th February, 1915.
