One Mr. Yasataro Ando is re- ported to have been coltivating cotton in Sandakan in North
Bararo with good results. He formerly served in the Tokyo Electric Barean. On retiring from his post be travelled in China and hen visited the Baath Sea Lalande. Since last spring be has beca staying in Sandakan raising cotton. Quite recently he seat some cotton of his own prodne in to Mr. Toyoji Wado, Managing Director of the Faj Gassed Yarn Spinning Company. It is reported that the cotton can be gathered four times a year and is in no way inferior to Indian cotton. With the support of Mr. Wade, Mr. K. Inouys, and several others, Mr. Ando intends to plant cotton ons large scale next year. Kobe Herald
