Progress is being made by the San Francisco and Hongkong Steamship Company, resekly formed at San Francisco, with the establishment of freight-carrying feet on the Pacific, comprising a dozen vequals in all, which will trade from the West Coast to South AmeriTMa. calling at Manila. Two vessels are now building for the line, to be compisted for service by Ján |1, 1917, and these will be followed by ten other modern ships. The two ships ander construction are the Belle of San Francisco and Belle of Hongkong. One of the later additions to the line is to be named the Belle of Manila.
