Japanese University Students on Warships.

A hundred students of the Tokyo Imperial University, under charge of Prof. Mətennami, arriv- ad at Kobe on the 7th inst. The students have been permitted to travel by these men-of-war in order to give them an insight. into marine sffairs. They are allowed all the privileges of officers on board.

Justifiable Homicide.

A verdict of "Justifiable homi. vide” was returned at an inquest on the body of a Belgian, Karel Verees, who was fatally stabbed with a bayonet during a distor bancs at Seston Carew.
