American Ships for Norwegian Owners.
The Norwegian shipowner, Mr. Lauritz Kloster, of Stavanger. according to "Morgenbladet," Christiania, has closed contracts with the North Western Steel Company, Portland, Oregan, for the building of four steamers each of 9,003.tons. They are to be fast turbíle s'ermers, of the Robert Dollars type, and sister ships to two formerly ordered for the same owner. The price is about 14,500,000 kroner (about £930,001). Two of those steamers are to be delivered in September and November respectively, next year, the third in January, and the last in February, 1918. Altogether the Kloster com- panies have now seven steamer".
