The teste made recent- ly of the capacity and speed of the cranes gave very satisfactory results, and when they are brought into use they will form a valuable addition to the coal-loading ap pliances of the port. Six of these cranes are to be placed on the very, fine wharf erected on the western side of the basin, and already work has commenced on the fourth crane, The war bas delayed delivery a little, but not to the extent that was anticipated.
