ANOTHER NOTE TO AUSTRIA.-

February 10, 12.15 pm Reuter's correspondent at New York states that America has sent a Note to Austris demanding an apology for a submarine attack on the American steamer Petrolite, the punishment of the commander and an indemnity for the injury.

The Note adds that the submarine fired on the steamer with- out giving warning and continued firing although the steamer stopped, wounding one man. Afterwards the submarine crew forcibly helped themselves to the ship's provisione.

The Conference passed a resolution walcoming the new Bo-e Office order securing wifruity of lighting restrictions, bas de- manding that the military authorities shall organise a system giving early warning of the serival and movements of aircraft.
