SHANGHAI BRITISH SUBJECT SENT TO PRISON,

Shanghai, November 30,

A British subject named Goldman, of Austrian birth, has been sentenced to three months' imprisonment and fined £20 and costs for trading with the enemy.

The prisoner made a firm offer to charter a ship to a German broker.

Two other cases are pending, the particulars of which are being kept private.
