The Persia was originally a White Bur liner. She and the Gaslia and Dorio were chartered by the late O. P. Huntington to between San FrancisÓN. and Hong Kong, via Honoluly and Japan, in competition with the Pacific Mail, Later: the two lines, ware merged and about ten years ago the Copio and Dario were bought by the Faoife mail, the Gaelic being broken up. The Doric, renamed Asia was broken ap. The Doxic, remamed Asia, was wreaked on the coast of Japen about four years ago. The Russian Volunteer Fleet Association have bought the steamship Farley, which was recently reported sold for £85,000.
