Marine Insurances-Unions have been sold at $955 and close steady. Cantone are quiet at $425. Yungtezes are quoted from Shanghai inarmation concerning the Fort at $250 ex. 73 bayers, and North Chinas at Tls. 175 buyers.
Fire Insurances.-There are sellera of Chins Fires at $162 and buyers at $160. Hongkong Fires are steady at $420. Shipping-Indo-Chinas (combined) have buyers at $157, and sellers at $159-the Deferred are offering at $92 and the Preferred shares are in demand at 868. Hongkong, Canton and Macao Steamboats have sold at $20 and more shares could probably be placed at this figure. Quite a large business has been done in Star Ferries at $39 and at $39) and at the former figure there is a farther demand for this stook. Douglas's are a strong market with buyers offering $891 for ossh, and at $931 for January delivery.
