Generally speaking our market has been an active one during the week under review and values have been marked up in many instances. Shanghai Cottons share prices have given way to some extent, but as the close the market is firm with an upward tendency

Far Bilver is quoted at $234 per on, for ready.

Exchange on London opened today at 1/98 T.T. On Shanghai opened to-day at 77, TT.

Banke Hongkong and Shanghai Banks rose during the early part of the week from 8880 to $845 and at the latter figure a fair number of shares changed hande; sales have since taken place at $840, 3835 and at 8930 and there are a few more shares cffaring at the latter figare,
