Exobarge on London opened today at 1/9,7/18 T.T.":
BankaHongkong and Shanghai Banks have sold at #815 and close steady at the rate,
Marine Insurances-Unions have been an easier market and shares have been placed as low as 8850 and at $872 closing steady st the latter figure. Cantons are enquired for at the enhanced rate of $400, but shares are unobtainable for the present. North Chinas are quoted Tis. 160 buyers and Yangtse $243 ex. 78. buyers,
Fire Insurances. Chins Firen have changed hands at 8162 and in small lots at $168, oloaing firm with buyers at the former figare, Hongkong Fires continue in demand a $405,
Bhipping: Douglas's have risen under a strong demand for cash shares from 8651 to $701 buyers and a large business has been transacted in them; dealings for December settlement delivery have taken place at 880 and at $81 cam div. Indo-Chinas have declined from $147 to 143 with sales at the latter and at intermediate rates and the market closes steady at #143, Bougkong Canton and Macao Steamboata are obtainable at the reduced rate of 820, Shail Transporta are steady after sales at 91/. and Star Ferries have sellers at $86, bayers offering $35).
