I am unable to enlarge on the subject, but the world will be considerably astonished when it knows what we have done, what we are doing and what we shall do, Our Rasian allies are our nearest neighbours and we can therefore be most neeful to them. AIR HERO'S DEATH.

September 1, 6.50 p.a.) Reuter's correspondent in Paris states that Adolphe Pegoud the aviator was shot dead at a height of six thousand feet. The Ger- mans long vowed that they would destroy Pegoud, who had been a thora in their sides. He had noted as aerial guard to General Jeffre and was a cousisnt source of terror to the Crown Prince's army in Argoons. The Parisians have expressed the desire that a street shall be named after Pegoud.
