SHARE REPORT,

Messre Wright and Hornby in their weekly share report state:-

Whilst the market for investment stooks has continued strong with a further appreciation in values to record, there has again beso a fair amount of liquidation in the speculative descriptions at declining rates, bat there are evidences of an improvement at the close. The August settlement passed off satisfactorily to day.

Bar Silver is quoted at 22.13/16 per oz. for ready.

Exchange on London opened to-day at 1/9.5/18.T.T.

Banks.Googhong and Shanghai Banke have reaoted from $830 to $825 eales and sellers, buyera offering $815.

Marine Insurances.-Unions continue in request and after sales at the enhanced rate of $872 close with further buyers at the rate. Cantons are wanted at $390 and class strong, also North Chinas at Tls. 160 and Yangtsze3 at $243 ex. 73.

Fire Insurances-China Firos are wanted at $162 and Hongkong Fires at $405, but, no shares are offering even at an advance on

these rates.
