Rice.

The import of rice to the Shang- hai market was recently greatly wanted. About two days ago, rics taste begun pouring in, a dozen and more boats com'ng in laden. According to the rico merchants, the first crop of rice in the districts of Heu ́ncheng and Niggkuo in South Aobwei, and Nanking and Wahsi in Kiangsu is now being reaped, and will be brought to the market in a few days, so that the market price is expected to fall'immediately.

London Rubber Market, Frem cur own correspondent of the Straits Timea writing from London on July 30 itatea. The London rubber market is dull, and thero is tome hesitation and accertainty among bayers. Prices are consequently somewhat lower, the current quotations being:-
