ARMY TERMS EXPLAINED. { Army corps is a complete army on a small scale in itself. The

atrength varies from 35,000 to 45,000 men. Division is a force of infantry, cavalry, and artillery, usually with a strength of from 25,000] to 20,000 men. Brigade is a force of infantry o

cavalry. The infantry brigade is from 4,000 to 7,000 strong. The cavalry brigade is from 1,000 to 2,000 strong, Regiment of infantry is from 2,000 to 4,000 strong.. A cavalry regiment is from 500 to 1,000 men strong. Squadron of cavalry is from 150

to 200 men strong. Battery of artillery in the British and French armies has 6 guns and about 200 men. In the German Army. consists of 4 guna and 160 men. In the Bassian Army it consists of 8 igans and 250 men.
