A large business has again been transacted in local stocks and also in Shangai Cotton shares and the market closes firm all round. Rabbers have received some attention and a fair business has been put through both in sterling and dollar shares..

Ear Silver la quoted at 22.9/18 per oz. for ready.

Exchange on London opened to-day at 1/9.3/18 T.T..

Banke. Hongkong and Shanghai Banks are firm with buyers at $815 after sales at $8173 and $815, It is notified that an interim dividend of £2:30 per share, subject to deduction of income tax has bean declared for the past felf-year and will be payable on and after August 18th, at Exchange of 1/9.5/10 per dollaráð

Marine Insurances-Unions have advanced from 2010 to $915 buyers and Cantone from $368 to $370 buyers Langteres are quoted from the North at $240 Ex73 and North Chinas at Tle. 160 buyers.
