Germany correctly interprete the reconstruction of the British. Ministry as implying no weaken- ing of the British titude in re-

gerd to the prosecution of the war. Indeed, for no conceivable

object other than to prosecute the war with unabated energy and determination would it have been possible for Mr.. Asquith to form a Cabinet such as that announced on Thursday, embracing, as it dees,, "the conspicuous leaders of all partice whore views on domestic politics are 48 divergent as the poles. It is not without some regret, and even miegiving, that many who take a detobed interest in British domestic jolitics have read the news of the virtual dissolation of the Cabinet which has so ably and so successfully managed the affairs of the nation during the past nine months of unparalleled crisis in the Empire's history. The misgiving arises cut of the thought that a beterogeneous team is not likely to work so har- moniously and so fectively as one which has already been work ing well together for a long. period of time.
