The Directors' report and state- ment of accounts for the twelve months ended January 31, 1915, have now been in your hands fär some time and I will with your permission take them as read..

The statement of accounts and directore report are so complete and exhaustive that really I have little or nothing to add, except a few words in regard to Profit and Loss Account, which shows oredit balance of Tie. 110,8-3 24 for the year or, dednoting the interim dividend of 5 per cent. equal to Tle. 18,712.50 paid to shareholders on December 21, 1914, a balance at credit of. Total Tls. 94,110.84 The results of last year's work- ing Jou will no douby consider most satisfactory and with likely a farther reductios in the cost of proction and granted the price of rubber remains on the level of about 2 I think that the Com- pany ale do still better during'

current year.

Begining with the current jear it is the intention of the boird to build up a cash reservo fund and this I lope boe your warm support. Whether this fund will be in the shape of an equali- sation of divi.lond fund or some ther rearre will be decided later, but you will no doubt agree that it is a wise policy to build up uch a reservo fund thus propar- ing ourselves, for all eveut." walities of the rubber market,

Dobenture Isaue-Since Janu arr 31 your Directora havo re- deemed farther debentures to the amount of Tla. 1,000 20 that the amount of deben u os issued is now only Tle, 10,000 pa agsiast T- 04,000-last year.

Regarding the Eilean only repeat what seems so clear from the report that matters are pro- gressing very satisfactorily and this also bas bron coufirard to us by our manager Mr. Robine, who has recently been with nein Stanghai on leave of hence, and I voice the opinion of the Board in recording our annulation of the way the work "f the estate is carried on by the manger and his staff. Masers. Barker & Co. have satisfactorily performed their work as agents, Whilst a word of appreciation is also due to our secretaries and kenal managers Meesra. Hugo Hei & Co.

Thie, gentlemen, is all I have to gay. Before asking you to adopt ther post and accounts I shall be pleased to answer any question.

Mr. E. W. Noel handed in a letter from Capt. Stott which was read by the chairman, who, etat- ing that it had no legal status, asked Mr. Noel if he wished to m'a'ke a proposal on the subject.

Mr. Ncel then proposed that no dividend be paid to enemy cubjots until after the conclusion | of the war in Europe," but as he was unable to obtain a seconder tho matter was dropped.
