Our market has continued firm during the week under review but there is a slightly easier tendency at the close.
Bar Silver is quoted at 23.9/16 per az, for ready.
Exchange on London opened to-day at 1/91 T.T.
Banks.Eongkong and Shanghai. Banks are obtainable at 8800 after sales.
Marine Insurances-Cantons after sales at $380 are demand at this rate. North Chinas are quoted from the North at Tls. 170 buyers and Yangtezes at $220 ex, 73. Unions have buyers at $850 and sellers at $855.
Fire Insurances.—China Fires are Steady at $130. Hongkong Fires are in demand at £885. Shipping:China and Manilac have bayern at $4.90 and sellers at 85.15. Douglas'e have advanced from 842 to 846 sales and bayers. Hongkong, Canton and Macao Steamboats have changed hands at 822.1/2, $223 and $23 closing with bayers at the figure. Indo-Chines romain a quiet market with sellers at 888. Shells are firm with buyers offering 93/8, AESARS
