PALM SUNDAY.

Observance in Hongkong

Catholic Churches,

The solemnity of Palm Sunday was observed yesterday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception

and the other Catholic churches of the Colony. Palms were blessed and distri- buted and the Passion from St. Matthew's Gospel was recited.

At St. Joseph'e Church Father Augustine addressed one or two earnest words to the congrega tion at the close of the service, reminding them of the coming Holy Week and impressing on them the duty of refraining from pleasure seeking on Good Friday.
